When gifts are made to the FMUU Church in memory of a past member, the President shall request written statements from donor families regarding any general restrictions on memorial fund use; and actual use shall be reviewed by relevant committees with proposals submitted to the Board of Directors as necessary. Pending their expenditure, such memorial funds shall be sequestered from operating funds and invested in appropriate financial instruments such as certificates of deposit (CDs). The Treasurer shall be responsible for maintaining a system that records each fund's source, amount and purpose, and which tracks its subsequent use.
