Our sixth UU principle states that we are covenant to affirm and promote the goal of world community with peace, liberty and justice for all. Ron Graham found that this goal had a very practical and lucrative application in his rental business. For years he rented housing to those who would have not been welcome elsewhere. He will discuss how "not holding people's past against them" created peace and justice in his neighborhood.
Join us after the service on Sunday April 6th for a potluck, as we celebrate Spring and 'Spring' ahead one hour.
Wordsworth intended his life's work to create the conscience of his society. Why did he think this effort was necessary? In what ways might his efforts be pertinent to us? Some answers to these questions will be explored in the presentation and discussion with Associate Professor Emerita of Humanities and FMUU member, Sylvia Morgan.
We are creatures who live on a beautiful, generous planet, whose rhythms touch us all, however we may choose to observe them. We will briefly explore the origins of rebirth observances through the ages, and celebrate our own season of renewal. Feel free to bring visiting guests or relatives - this service will be quite "non-UU friendly" complete with familiar hymns!
Come join us as we host our final minister of the church year, Reverend Frank Rivas of the First Universalist Church in Minneapolis. He will explore with us how UU's can move toward a more embodied, less ephemeral theology.
Following the church service we will be having our "ANNUAL MEETING AND PIZZA LUNCH" Sunday April 27th. Donations will be asked for to offset the cost of the pizza.
