Why is it that we, as UUs, often find it difficult to say the religious/spiritual words we used to use before we became UUs? Why are we uncomfortable with those words? It is time we reclaimed those words. What did they mean? What do they mean now? Are there better words to use? Maybe, but come on out the 4th of January and hear what Jon has to say about reclaiming our religious language. This is a topic being discussed all over the UUA today.
Tim Peterson moved to this area from Texas with his wife, Claudette, early last summer. They were somewhat dismayed when they found our church and discovered that there were no services through the summer months. Dr. Peterson is the Associate Dean of the College of Business at North Dakota State University. I am sure we will all enjoy his presentation as he begins to lay the groundwork for UU church growth here in Fargo-Moorhead.
We need volunteers to participate on a panel of UU members, talking about why you are a UU, what it means to you, and why UU and not something else? Please, contact Jon Landre if you wish to be on the panel.
