He will speak about the democratic politics, the vibrant culture, and the cooperative (as opposed to competitive) economic system of this most remarkable island.

Unitarian Universalists have long been in the forefront of economic and social justice movements. Don will discuss current justice work within the context of UU principles and history. He is the executive director of the North Dakota Progressive Coalition and a member of the Bismarck Mandan Unitarian Universalist Fellowship.

Yahya Frederickson is a professor of composition and multicultural literature at the New Center for Multidisciplinary Studies at Minnesota State University Moorhead. He is also a member of the Islamic Society of Fargo-Moorhead.
