Mark Vinz, Carol Ratchenski, Kevin Zepper "The Prose Poetry of 3 Friends"

Welcome the blooming month of May with the unique poetic stylings of 3 Friends: Mark Vinz is an esteemed regional poet and professor, as well as a regular visitor to FMUU. Kevin Zepper is a professor at MSUM in the New Center. His most recent collection of poetry, Suffering From An Apartment Complex, has just been published. UU Friend Carol Ratchenski is a poet, fiction writer and counselor. Together these 3 Friends explore the unique storytelling genre of Prose Poetry.

Greg Camp "Church and State"

Historian Greg Camp brings us a program that examines the separation of church and state that stands at the heart of many historic and contemporary struggles in the United States. This program is sponsored by the ND Humanities Council. Greg Camp is on the staff of the State Historical Society.

Phil Mouch "Divine Perceptions"

God. Gaia. Great Spirit. Nirvana. Brahman. What do we mean when we talk about the ultimate? Each of us has our own individual conceptions of the ultimate, so we are unlikely to find one answer to this question. Phil Mouch shares some of his perspectives on the divine and our relationship to it, sending us off into summer to find our own contemplative experiences.
