Rick Henderson: Overcoming Barriers to Religious Unity

Rick Henderson is a member of the Baha'i Faith and a lawyer from Moorhead. He is a past chairperson of the Moorhead Human Rights Commission and a board member for Cultural Diversity Resources. The 20th century has seen remarkable progress in overcoming barriers based on race, gender, and nationality. Yet religion, one of the most powerful forces for uniting diverse peoples and creating bonds of community, seems to lag far behind. In some ways, religion may actually be a divisive force. Rick Henderson will share some thoughts from the Baha'i Faith on the challenges and opportunities facing organized religion at the beginning of the 21st century.
