SEPTEMBER 12

Melissa Hutchison: Rally Sunday

Board President Melissa Hutchison will bring us back together after our summer hiatus with a heart-warming reflection on transitions. This will also be a chance for newcomers and "old"-comers alike to connect with each other and to explore opportunities for involvement in the church. Instead of our traditional "welcome back breakfast", we will be having a special coffee hour following the church service. Hope to see everyone there!

SEPTEMBER 19

Bill Vossler: "Childhood Terrain: The Magic of the Empty Lots"

Storyteller Bill Vossler returns to delight us with more Stories for Ethical Living. Searching for truth and meaning, Bill explores the effects of life from yesterday on today.

Child dedication: Heather and Alexander Ummel-Wagner

SEPTEMBER 26

Sherry Short: "Hysterical Women: The Gendering of Genius"

Historically, the greatest of Western thinkers — from scientists to philosophers to theologians — argued that a woman simply could not do it: create with talent and genius. To do so, would drive a woman mad. From Aristotle to Medieval Christianity to contemporary neuropsychiatry, this service will explore the gendering of genius.
