The Rev. Dr. Nancy Holden comes to us sponsored by the Prairie Star District. Dr. Holden was a United Methodist pastor and is now Unitarian Universalist. Rev. Holden will be sharing with us regarding what we have to offer our larger community as UUs. This should be a very exciting presentation as she talks to us about congregational and personal growth.
Joseph Akol Makeer, a Lost Boy of Sudan and resident of Fargo, talked to us last year about his journey out of Sudan and into a refugee camp in Kenya where he spent 10 years before being admitted, along with three siblings he found in a neighboring camp, to the United States. Come and learn about this amazing young man, his past and present, his experiences here in the U.S., and his mission to help the orphans of his Sudanese village.

Rob Swiers has been with Hospice of the Red River Valley for six years and is the Community Relations Coordinator. He is excited to have an opportunity to come share with us about the work and mission of Hospice. Hospice began as a volunteer organization and currently has about 250 employees as well as 400 volunteers. Please join us as we learn more about our neighbors at Hospice. Come out and listen to Rob's presentation about what they do and how valuable they are to our community. (You might want to come prepared with some questions also!)
